                  About Me

               My name is Lucas Gumbiner. I started into the world of knife making in 2017 at the age of 17, when my parents decided I needed a hobby. As a joke, I asked them to buy me a forge, and to my surprise they said yes. After that I spent hundreds of hours researching and asked thousands of questions in order to learn the various tools and techniques required in knifemaking.

               Now in the years I've been making knives, my original focus was mainly on high performance Japanese style culinary knives, and their many forms. Going as far as to win a award for them in 2023. During those times I also dabbled in many other styles, such as hunting/bushcraft knives, cutlery, EDC and even a Sword! However in 2022 I made my very first folding knife and was immediatly hooked. Since then they have become my true passion, to seak precision and mastery. One build at a time.
